Eligibility: Open to all artists, 18 and older, residing in Westchester or Putnam County, New York. Crafts and commercial reproductions in any media are not eligible. All work must be ORIGINAL and completed within the past two years. 

Specifications: Work must be suitably framed and ready to hang; clip hangers and saw tooth hangers are not acceptable. Please discuss with us any hanging work exceeding 20 lbs. 

Categories:  Painting (oil, acrylic, tempera, watercolor, pastel),    Graphics (drawing, printmaking, photography, digital art), Mixed Media

Awards: Prizes will be awarded to one winner in each category, as well as to one "overall" show winner.

Jurying: MKAC makes every effort to select renowned, talented and prestigious jurors, which include practicing artists, curators, and other arts professionals. Jurors for this show are select professors from the Parsons School of Design. 

Liability: MKAC cannot assume responsibility for damage or deterioration incurred before or after the exhibit. Entries will be handled with the greatest care, however, the MKAC and Mount Kisco Public Library assume no liability for work on gallery premises.

 

 

Entry Procedure: Entries must be submitted digitally using the form above. Deadline for submissions is September 1, 2017. Artwork should be 300 dpi JPEGs. JPEG filenames should reflect titles. Please note that any work deemed misrepresented by its photo will be declined. MKAC reserves the right to photograph & publish accepted work for promotional purposes. Submission of your entry indicates your acceptance of the rules of this show. You may submit to each category, for up to six entries. Fee applies for each category’s submission.

Entry Fees: There is a non-refundable entry fee of $30 ($10 for members). This fee entitles the artist to two entries in one category. You may submit to each of the three categories, for up to six entries. Fee applies for each category's submission.

Notification: Notification of juried results will be emailed on or before Friday, September 15, 2017. Accepted artists will be asked to deliver actual work.

Sales: All artwork MUST be for sale. The MKAC retains a 30% commission on all works sold. Please price your work accordingly. MKAC makes every attempt to pay artists within 30 days of the end of the exhibit

Return: All work must be picked up on Saturday, October 28th, 2017. MKAC has no space to store artwork past the pickup date. Any work not picked up by 10/30/17 will become property of MKAC, unless other arrangements have been made.
